"It Shouldn't Have Been That Easy" JB Morrissey March 2006 In retrospect, it shouldn't have been that easy. "I never was any good with the ladies," he muttered. He didn't even feel his finger twitch. The first time her saw her, he knew he'd marry her. She knew that too, but they never talked about it. They never talked about anything. God, he loved her. No matter what she said or did to him, he loved her. He only agreed to sign the divorce papers because he still loved her and wanted her to be happy. He still lo........ A blinding flash erased that thought. The bullet turned his brain to pulp. It erased his life. Blood splattered across their beige colored bedroom. His body flopped to the floor with a heavy thud. It landed right next to hers.
A man I know is blindly devoted to his wife, no matter what.
She twists him hard and he chooses not to even notice. It's not
healthy. They inspired this short story. No, they are
still both very much alive...for now.--jb
